1. Hafsa's Experience with SEA's Tie and Dye Program: Unlocking Creativity and Empowering Lives

In the vibrant city of Kismayo, Somalia, resides Miss Hafsa Mohamed Abdi, a determined and talented individual with a passion for creativity. Hafsa's life took a transformative turn when she became a beneficiary of SEA's vocational training program in Tie and Dye. This impact story sheds light on Hafsa's inspiring journey and the profound effect that acquiring skills in Tie and Dye has had on her life.

Hafsa, holding Document Number Lojkis 1196*** and reachable at telephone number 0616838***, considers herself fortunate to have been given the opportunity to learn Tie and Dye through SEA's vocational training program. With eagerness and dedication, she delved into the world of fabric design, exploring various techniques and color combinations. The program not only provided her with technical skills but also instilled confidence in her creative abilities.

With her newfound expertise, Hafsa began to experiment with different patterns and styles, creating unique and eye-catching designs. She quickly realized the potential of her talent and started showcasing her creations at local markets and exhibitions. The positive response from the community encouraged her to establish her own small business, where she could showcase and sell her Tie and Dye products.

As her business grew, so did her income. Hafsa's financial situation improved significantly, allowing her to support her family and invest in her education. She enrolled in additional vocational courses to expand her skills and enhance her entrepreneurial acumen. Today, Hafsa serves as an inspiration to other aspiring artists in her community, proving that with determination and the right opportunities, dreams can be turned into reality.

Today I am a skilled person and have the determination to set up my own business. My thanks goes to the donors for they gave me the opportunity to learn this profitable market skills and instilled in me the confidence to explore my potential and ability to become a business woman and improve the livelihoods of my family. I also want to thank SEA and the elders for including me in the target beneficiaries as well as my teachers for their enormous efforts to train me well because the day I started the course, I knew nothing about it and they made me the skilled person that I am today. Our household has had enough food supply for the recent months and we were able to take three meals a day. Besides, I have gained massive skills on tie and die, so I have benefited from the project in different ways
she says as quoted.

Hafsa was among 115 trainees from Kismayo who graduated in August after undertaking a Six-month intensive course on Tie and Dye techniques.
